3 weeks and counting. Finished rooms of new home

I wanted to show you some finished rooms in our new place.  We have been here three weeks and we have so much accomplished.  I took down the mirror I had up over the mantel because I found this cool old window piece.  I think it looks so much nicer and blends better.
I will have videos at the end of this post so you can see the rooms and how they flow.
It is hard to capture rooms in single pics.

This is the back of the kitchen.  Still a work in progress.  As you can see in the right corner still no counter tops.  Ugh!!!!  Hopefully that will be done soon.
Since I do not have a fancy camera or pay for fancy editing my pics are not always the greatest and really do not do these rooms justice.
They are not washed out and faded but pretty and sun filled bright rooms.

I need to be a bragging grandmother for a minute.  The video below is our granddaughter Charlotte reading her poem at the 911 remembrance ceremony at her school.  With her grandpa and dad being firefighters this meant a lot for her to be picked to read a poem.

Have a great week everyone.  Terry is out of town this week for a fire chief's conference and well deserved rest lol!  I will have the bedroom next for you to see.

Hugs,

Kris

  2. Love the videos, Kris! That scale is a true treasure, now I want one. I'm so impressed with your progress. We are still finishing things up from our renovations we started two years ago. I need you to come here to whip my decorating tail into shape!! Your granddaughter is so sweet. That was such a difficult day for so many, it's nice to see it still remembered all around the country and by people of all ages. Bless her...xo

  6. Kris-It is looking great so far. Can't wait for you to get your countertops in-that is so frustrating to wait that long!
You have pulled everything together beautifully so far. AND you have a few days to yourself to do things that you want to do. Or---I could send John down to take up some of your 'free' time.
Charlotte is so sweet. What an honor to read that on 911. The first time I saw her she was just a few weeks old and in her little carrier on the table at the restaurant. Can't believe where the years have gone!
I am SOOO glad you love your new home...and you CAN'T move again because I am out of room to change the V addresses on 'your page' in my address book. lol. (Most of my friends have three lines on a page- You have your own page....lol

  7. I'm glad you showed the videos so we could a grasp of the footprint. I love it, and still can't believe all you've accomplished. I'm surprised you haven't talked Terry into crafting your countertops himself, lol. There's pretty much nothing you two can't do! I love that new hanging scale, Kris.
Charlotte is adorable. What a sweet memory you've captured.

  15. Thanks for sharing the updates on your new home. Everything is coming together just like I thought it would since you and Terry are the creative team behind all this gorgeousness. Love the pumpkin on the scale hanging in the kitchen. It's little touches like that bring personality to your home. It was wonderful that your sweet granddaughter read the poem. xoxo
