Last Weekend we took a ride on Saturday to a few of my Michigan Shops. I love that we are only an hour to 2 hours from my shops. We can take the beautiful ride along the lake up to Michigan in a day.
On this trip I found an old chippy mantel. Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the mantel before Terry and his trustee tools took it apart to make two new pieces for the new place. Yep, I had a vision for this mantel. So above you see it. Top of the mantel is now a shelf in my kitchen on that wall where we took down cabinets for the laundry room. It is chippy and fun to have in the kitchen. |
I love the shelf in your kitchen that you made out of the mantel. That little corner of your kitchen looks just perfect now. I'm glad you tried something different in your laundry room with the wallpaper. It is so happy and cheery and sure to make you smile every time you go in there?!?!?! The new cabinet in your living room is AMAZING....so in love with it!!!!!!!

I love the laundry room - it's so cheerful and still very neutral!
DeleteThe new wallpaper is wonderful!! I love how you can have a vision for a completely new look and function for a piece of furniture. Praying those counter tops are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI’m sure you will have better luck with Home Depot counter install than we did (in Waco). The installer was running way behind, so I’m pretty sure that is why he did a drop in sink instead of undermount, but the entire experience was very unpleasant.
ReplyDeleteOh Geez I hope we have better luck than you did. Sorry to hear that. I guess each Home Depot depending on state and area uses different makers for the counter tops so maybe with you being in Waco and us in Illinois we will have better luck. I have talked to two other people that used Home Depot and had really good experiences. I hope that for us. With all this before hand stuff of getting the material to the counter top maker I wonder too if this might not be a great experience. Praying tomorrow they will go in without issue and will look fabulous. Thanks for letting me know about your experience. So sorry you had that happen. Kris
DeleteKris, I love the wallpaper in the laundry! And that shelf on the kitchen wall looks great. I can't wait to see the countertops and full kitchen. Love the way you swapped out the TV stand too. The new old one looks great. I think I love this look even better!
ReplyDeleteMI being only 2 hrs away is a great destination, whether it's shopping or just getting away for vacation. I'm so happy for you!
Love the chippy shelf from the mantel! I have a guess what you’re doing with the legs but I will wait and see if I’m right! The new tv cabinet is cool! And I love the wallpaper in the laundry room. I’m going to say the counters will go in with no issues! Why borrow trouble before it happens? 😊. I’m sure they will look great too. Y’all have accomplished so much. You can feel proud! Sending positive vibes your way.

I am loving the laundry room. While I know it is a bit out of your comfort zone it is still quite neutral and feels like 'nature' to me. What a fun place to do laundry. I have to get my laundry room door painted this fall, too. It's white but needs a fresh coat of paint.
ReplyDeleteI PRAY your countertops go as smoothly as mine did-the install was perfect and I have had these 4 years now and not one complaint with them...and you know how picky I can be! Can't wait to see them and see the kitchen and bathroom finally close to being fully done!
That piece makes a perfect buffet in your kitchen! Happy October, my friend. xo Diana
I love the wall paper in the laundry room. It is really cute. I am going to look into wall paper over the months (they have not even started our house yet,.... but the neighbors quad section is getting assembled.) We have plenty of time. In fact, I have not been stressing about packing for anything hhaaaa
ReplyDeleteI love the new tv console. It looks very accommodating for hiding stuff too.
Happy Tuesday
Such a pretty and cheerful laundry room Kris. The wallpaper is lovely. I love how you have vision with pieces. The shelf and new tv console is fabulous. I am so happy you are finally getting your countertops. Everything is amazing and in such a short time. Xo
ReplyDeleteYou have every right to be excited! I'm excited for you! The new tv stand will feel right at home in your new place. Love the laundry room wallpaper. Good spot for the cuckoo clock. You know we all live vicariously through all your projects and decorating. ha! Looking forward to seeing the new counters. xoxo
ReplyDeleteWow you have achieved so much Kris and I love it all! You have such a great talent for spotting just the right items for your home. I love that wallpaper! Gilly UK xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour house is looking fantastic! I absolutely love your laundry room. It is so pretty and cheerful! And I agree that you need all the encouragement you can get while doing laundry! Are your countertops being installed today?
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking so good! Love the mantel shelf in the kitchen. How did you paint the faux brown trim - did you have to use Kilz or some kind of special primer first? And second question - what material countertops did you get from Home Depot? I can't decide between quartz or quartzite.
ReplyDeleteKris, I love the buffet in the kitchen and the new/old TV piece. The wallpaper in the laundry room is fabulous, it would make doing laundry more fun rather than a chore. I can’t wait to see the countertops!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love your wallpaper! Your house is now a home! So many beautiful ideas. Judy Clark
ReplyDeleteKris, the mantel shelf is perfect and I have an idea of what you are doing with the legs. Will let you know if I was right when you get them done. The buffet looks great in the kitchen and will give you more much needed space which we can all use in our kitchens. The wallpaper is beautiful. It looks so bright and cheerful and charming and bet it is perfect in person. You have done more in a few weeks than I have done in years! I love it all, my friend..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteWell, there's really much for me to say, except that it's all GORGEOUS! I love the wallpaper, the new pieces, the way you have styled the decor and the fact that you did it in record time and enjoy a trip to shop in the middle of it all! The clock caught my eye my eye immediately...darling! Oh - and we had Home Depot do both of our kitchens and the countertops were fabulous. Great install, worn well. I bet they looks great! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the TV stand and the laundry room looks so pretty! That wallpaper is gorgeous and it's great that it's peel and stick. Now you can do your laundry is a nice room!
ReplyDeleteHello, it is all coming together!! It looks so nice Kris. I just love your style.

Your laundry room transformation is coming together beautifully, Kris! I love how you brought a splash of cheerfulness with the peel-and-stick wallpaper—so perfect for brightening up the space. That mantel vision is incredible, and I can't wait to see what the legs will become. It's amazing how you've repurposed pieces throughout your home, like the buffet musical chairs situation—everything just finds a new home! I’m excited to see your counters come in, fingers crossed they turn out exactly how you envision. Best of luck with the final touches!
ReplyDeleteLove it. New tv table is great! Love it & also the wall mantel revamp. Great work yall are accomplishing! Great Home! Wallpaper so pretty.
