Old Door Re Love and Cute gift for HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, Marshall's Lover

Old door found in Michigan for $40.  When I saw this door I knew exactly what we could do with it to solve a small problem in our new place.

This is the entry to the bedroom.  Straight ahead is the door to our walk in closet.  To the left is the bedroom door and right behind that was another door leading into the bathroom from our bedroom.  Lots of doors in a small area!!!
So..........

Terry took that door and took out the glass window and added this mirror in its place.  He framed out the door and kept the hardware.  This door does not open or close and just fills in the opening to the bathroom from the bedroom.  Now we have a full length mirror outside the walk in closet.

This is the other side of the door in the bathroom.  Terry added a wood piece where the glass was on this side.  We have a big mirror already in the bathroom so we did not need another full length mirror on this side of the old door.  This side is still a work in progress.  I have some old vintage hooks that I might hang on this side to put our bathrobes.  Or I might just find something to pretty up this door in some way.  Like I said a work in progress.

Ok,  now on to the HomeGoods, TJMaxx, Marshalls shopping girls.  Aren't these just the cutest.  Terry has tried to get me to go into HG, TJ, Marshalls addiction program several times lol!  He said the stores all call him if  they have not seen me in a week to make sure I am ok lol!  He thinks I have just a little addiction with those stores.  I have to admit I love taking long romantic walks up and down the aisles of these stores.

This is one of the girls I got for an upcoming birthday for a special friend.  I attached a gift card for TJ Maxx/HomeGoods to this sweet shopping girl and will be mailing her off for my friends birthday. Makes giving a gift card a little more fun.

They also will have this sweet girl to set on a desk or anywhere really in their home.  The Marshall girl I have not found yet.  I have been hunting for her to make my collection complete.

Isn't she so cute and she will then make my collection complete.  I have them on my desk in my office.  They make me smile.
If any of you are like me and love to shop TJ, HomeGoods or Marshalls look for these sweet girls.   They really are so cute.
Apparently they make these shopping girls for JoAnn Fabrics and Macy's.  I wish they would come up with a Target girl.

Have a fabulous week.
We are breaking records here in Illinois for weather.  Normal temps this time of year in the low to mid 50's.  Yesterday and today we reached into the 80's.
Crazy! but I'll take summer for as long as we can here.  In the midwest we all know what hits us after fall yikes!  I love fall but hate winters here.  Hoping with summer desperately hanging on when fall finally takes hold it will hold on too and winter will not come quickly.

Hugs,
Kris

  1. OMGOSH! How adorable! You know I have been trying to stay away from those places, right?! You are that naughty voice on my shoulder that says-Oh! Go ahead! lol.

That door was the perfect addition. I'm trying to figure out-was there a second door into your bathroom? Whatever, it was a very clever use of the door!

Off and running with my new little girl, Coco. Scruffy is at daycare so she is absorbing all the doggie love all by herself until 5pm! xo xo xo Diana

  7. What a great idea for that door. The mirror is perfect and really breaks up all the "doors" in that area of the room. The dolls are adorable; such a fun way to send a gift card too!

  9. That was a great idea and solution with the door! Looks beautiful. And those shopping girls are so cute. I get into trouble in those stores. I used to have to travel about an hour to get to Marshals and Ross but they just opened here. I could be in trouble, lol. Guys just don’t get that we need to wander in our stores! We’ve been warmer than normal too. Unlike you, I’m ready for summer to leave! Hugs, Cecilia
