Ok you need to pay close attention to this post. There are going to be a lot of movement of pieces lol! |
Ok this is one of the side leg pieces to the old vintage mantel. Terry made them into a pair of sconce holders. |
We found these old metal candle holders. Perfect to make into a sconce. The legs of the mantel and these chippy rustic candle holders were married to make the best sconces. |
The sconces sit on each side of my old arch window above the sectional. |
My daughter and I were talking and she said she needed a small buffet piece for her house and she loved this one I had in the back of the kitchen. |
To make a long story short my daughter took the small buffet I had in the kitchen and the farmhouse piece for her house. I got the old alter piece back for the TV. |
The larger buffet piece that once held the TV is now in the kitchen being used as an actual buffet. |
I'm glad you are finally getting settled in to your new cottage and are making new friends. Sounds like the ladies are a lot of fun. I absolutley LOVE the sconces Terry made for you out of the fireplace mantel...so pretty!!! The altar looks fabulous too. Glad your daughter agreed to trade so you could have it back...it looks perfect. Your new cottage is looking sooooooo beautiful!!!!!

So nice that you and your daughter can trade out pieces. LOVE the alter piece, and you're right the other cabinet was very utilitarian farmhouse. Can't wait to see your kitchen when the counters are finished!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are making friends and enjoying all that your community has to offer, Kris! That's wonderful. I think the place looks amazing. I love the fact that you and your. daughter can swap furniture. You haven't lived there very long so it's understandable that it might take some time to figure out what is right in the space. I think you found a lovely balance...can't wait to see the countertop reveals!
