Vintage Tub Bench

My friend and I went down into Indiana to Horton's in Tipton.  This is a really cute old hardware store that is now a beautiful fun little shop.  They had their Christmas Open House this past weekend.

My sweet friend and I took a drive down and I found this great vintage wash tub bench.

The minute I saw this sweet fun piece I knew it would look good in my entry way with my vintage French farmhouse vibe.

I will be decorating this up cute for Christmas in the entry way.

My daughter hosts Thanksgiving so I get to have a jump on getting my Christmas Decor up early.
I started this weekend.  You can see a sneak peek of the kitchen below.

Have a great week everyone.
Hugs,
Kris

  2. That's a real find, Kris. I don't think I've seen one like it; just the galvanized metal ones. Love the printing along the side. It will be perfect for the entry!

  4. OMGOSH- I LOVE Horton's Market! Mindy lives about 1/2 from there and I have gone several times. A few years ago I made it to the Christmas Open House!
I hardly EVER read comments from others but the one right above me by ANONYMOUS, of course, jumped out at me. LOL....She doesn't 'get it'...and if Walmart is her furniture source (by choice) that says a whole lot about her...I am assuming it is a woman that is jealous of you.
I have the Christmas 'bug' this year, too, and trying to decide whether to go for it. Tara is hosting Thanksgiving so I could. With John's trip to Mayo we will miss almost two weeks of the December holiday decorations----so I may jump on the 'early Christmas' bandwagon this year. xo xo xo Diana

  5. What a great piece! Can’t wait to see how you decorate it. Love the sneak peek. You get to have fun decorating for the first time in your new place. And OMG! The comment above Diana’s. Keep that negative #*$! to yourself already. Kind of funny though when you think of the type of furniture Walmart has. At least we know what character an old piece has. I’m debating how soon to start my Christmas decorating. I usually wait until after Thanksgiving, but it’s so late this year. Might start early. We’ll see. Hugs, Cecilia

  6. What a great find! I don't think I have ever seen one of those. However, if it is in your house, I know it will shine in all its vintage goodness. There is nothing ordinary in your home! If I were to walk into your home, I would take my time looking at all your pretties and how well they all play together. xoxo
