Happy New Year and New Shop to Share and a New Treasures to Transform

Hi Everyone.  Terry and I took a long weekend to Michigan and I visited some of my fave shops.   While doing that I was told about another new shop in the area.  Had to go check it out right?!!
It is called Urban Garage Market in St. Joseph Michigan.

It is a fun place with all kinds of different vintage and modern pieces.

Since it was just this past weekend they still had a lot of the Christmas sale items.  I cannot wait to revisit in the Spring to see what treasures come into this shop.

In this picture to the right is a chippy white shutter.  It had a mate and both of those came home with me and will be transformed soon and given new purpose.

I loved these little air fresheners for your car.  They are made by a company called Stay in your lane.  Super cute and they smell great.

This was a Christmas tree dress form.  It is a great shop near a few others I like in this area.  If you are in the St. Joseph Michigan area this is a good one to visit.

Ok now onto the new treasure found.  I found this piece at Warehouse 55 in North Aurora Illinois.  Just loved the character and shape of this piece.  it is going to get transformed and given a new purpose.

Stay tuned to seeing what this sweet piece gets re loved to in my cottage home.
It is going to be delivered on Friday and hopefully this weekend Terry will help me transform it into a new and beautiful treasure with purpose.

Also stay tuned to see what happens to those chippy white shutters and my white chippy alter piece is being given new life and purpose.

Giving new life to pieces for our new cottage home to start out the new year.

Hope as we enter into the new year all of you stay healthy and happy.  I am looking to new
adventures in the year along with some re loves of treasures found.

Hope you will come back to visit soon and see all the re loves.
Hugs,
Kris

  9. What fun to find a new shop! The curio cabinet is awesome... love all the swirls and scrolls. I'm sure it will turn out beautiful. You make remaking look so easy! I wish I could even attempt to paint just one little piece of furniture.. it feels too overwhelming to me to even start! Am anxious to see what you do! I do love shutters.. I found a pink one at a cute shop that I still have and love. Marilyn

  10. How do I not know about this place? My husband has worked in St. Joe for the past 10 years and I thought I knew all the great vintage shopping places! I'll definitely put it on my list! One of my faves in St. Joe is Broad Street Mercantile -- love it:) Have you been there? Can't wait to see what you do with the lovely cabinet. xo Kathleen

  16. These shops are to die for! I noticed you found that armoire / cabinet in Aurora! Not sure if you've ever been to the antique mall in Volo- it's pretty awesome, would highly recommend! Anyway, Im like you, I love to decorate with everything antiqued and chic. My employees joke that I can't buy anything new for my office, secondhand only! They aren't totally wrong, ha!
