Up Coming Girlfriend Party and A Little of This and That.

I am getting ready to have my annual Girlfriend Party.  I started this party over 20 years ago.  It started with just my bff's getting together for a night of fun, good food and drink and sharing our love of friendship with each other.

Now my two grown daughters have their bff's joining us for this special night.  I look forward to making this night special for all of them.

They share their hearts and love and I am so blessed with these good friendships.  They have lasted many years and I think we will all be there for each other until we take our final breath.

I found these really cute cups a few years back at HomeGoods.  I am so happy I held on to them.  They are going to be made into charcuterie cups.  It is hard to see but there are heart shaped sticks to put the charcuterie pieces on.  I hope they turn out cute.  I will be making them with crackers, cheese, meats, olives, pickles and fresh fruits and nuts.  I will try to remember to take a picture of how they turn out the night of the party.

My theme for this year's party is cozy comfort.  I found these soft beautiful throws at several HomeGoods and TJ Maxx stores.  I also found this candle called Cozy Weekend and boy does it smell wonderful.  I put them in clear tote bags I found on Amazon and tied off with ribbon.  Each girl will get this special gift from me to take home.

I also found these cute zip bags with the cutest saying.  I made them up with lots of fun snacks for each girl

Gotta love Home Goods for their great tote bags that they sell for
99 cents.  Each girl will get one of these to take all their goodies home.

I am going to show you some of the prizes for the fun games we play.  You do not have to make expensive gifts to have nice prizes.  You just have to have vision and know where to shop for good items at reasonable prices.  My go to stores are HomeGoods, TJ Maxx and the dollar store.
This gift is a beautiful bottle of lavender soap in a pretty bottle and gold pump. $3.99 at HomeGoods and I bought a pack of bunny towels at Home Goods.  Two towels for $7.99.  I took one towel and one bottle of soap and tied them off in clear gift bags.  Under $10 dollars you have a sweet prize.  The towels are soft and the artwork on them is so pretty.

I also found these Rae Chocolate candy dishes with a cute spoon on the clearance rack at a shop I frequent in Michigan.  The dishes were on sale for 70% off and I bought a bag of yummy chocolates to go with each gift.  Both prizes again under $10.

I found these corkcicle wine tumblers at TJ Maxx.  They will keep your wine cold for 24 hours.  These are nice for summer nights sitting outside or even by the pool.  I put them with a bottle of wine.  A gift for under $20.

I went to Target and got some cute waffle cone bowls and sprinkles and toppings and added an ice cream gift card.  This prize would be a fun night watching a movie and making your own sundae's

This is a clear acrylic dip bowl with the bottom of the bowl for ice to keep your dip cold.  I added this fun French Onion dip mix for another cute prize.

This gift I found at Ross.  That is a store like TJ Maxx.  I have never really gotten lucky at the Ross near me.  It is not usually as nice as TJ Maxx.  I happen to go in ours one day and found this cute wine bottle umbrella on the clearance for $6.  What a cute gift this hopefully will make for one of the girls.

I have my dining table and long folding table put together.  There will be 17 of us and I love that I have the room for the long tables so we can all sit together.  This is more important when we play games.  We love LCR and No Name Game.
We also do an exchange gift for lottery scratch off tickets.  Each girls brings $10 in lottery
tickets and we do an exchange.  A couple of years ago one of the girls won $500 dollars on their $5 lottery scratch off.
Fun to exchange these and see what everyone wins.

One of my oldest daughter's bff's is having her first baby.  I am so excited for her so I made up a cute little gift basket .  They are not wanting to know the sex of the baby so I did a very gender neutral basket.  It was fun to find these things and see the little cute items for babies.

I will try and remember to take pics of all the girls and some the fun things we do.  We all wear are most comfy pjs and slippers and eat, drink and enjoy having fun.

Now on to the This and That.

While I was looking through some of my crates out in the storage I came across this bunny lamp I have had for years.  I totally forgot I had this.  With Spring and Easter up next I thought it would look so cute in my entry way.

The sweet bunny lamp looks so cute with  my French farm and cottage entry way.

My party is this Saturday.  I am looking forward to this fun evening.
I have my menu done and all the appetizers made up.  I ordered Nothing Bundt Cake bundtinis for a sweet dessert.  I have water and soft drinks and each girls brings what alcohol beverages they like.

Have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
Kris
