At night if I have them lit they look so pretty and cozy.
Sorry the picture quality is not the greatest. My I phone takes really nice pics and then when I transfer them to my computer they look ok and when I edit them in BeFunky they still look pretty good. It is when I transfer them to blogger to post they get so faded out and are not clear and crisp. If anyone knows why this happens and wants to share it with me I would appreciate it.
My new treasure of old bed springs made into a candle centerpiece was a fun find.
I have a few other treasures I found and will share them soon.
Have a beautiful new week ahead. Hugs Kris |

Kris, what an adorable shop to visit with Terry. I LOVE how you used the bed spring to make the floral arrangement. You are so creative and it looks so pretty on you dining room table. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAnother great shop and find. Love it in the dining table. It's neat that it's an old school. I saw some goodies i would have grabbed!
ReplyDeleteCute and great vision for that piece, Kris! You'll be able to change it with the seasons too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool little shop. I just found out there’s an old church turned vintage shop near me. I need to go check it out! I love it when old buildings get repurposed. Love what you did with the old springs. Such a cute and clever idea.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about your photos. Do you know what the resolution is when you save them? If it’s under 200, that would make them blur. Good luck. I still think they look good on your blog.
Hugs, Cecilia
Great blog
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic shop Kris! In fact it could have been made for you, or even by you! I love what you did with those bed springs - I would never have thought of that! Hugs, Gilly UK
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet shop! And I love what you did with the springs - it looks absolutely stunning on your table. (Your flowers are dogwood flowers.) Another great post!
ReplyDeleteHi, I love the shop. I do like your creative bed springs... flower bed. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like all the candles you used.
Love, Carla
Kris, you always seem to find the best shops and the most unique treasures inside those shops. The bed springs are so charming the way you have them displayed. I can picture the way they must look at night, lit up on your table. Charming! Hoping you are well and having some nice spring weather! xo
ReplyDeleteAnother cute, fun shop to explore! I love what you did with the vintage bed springs. Very creative. I don't know if you had ever been to Vintage Art & Findings in Wauconda when they were in their original spot, but Mary had vintage bed springs on the wall above a couch and she used to decorate it with some of her cool things and lights.
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable shop, Lucky you that you have so many close by. LOVE love your new "spring" centerpiece. The candles are genius. Add in the flowers and it's just perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling shop! I love it. That was a really cute idea for those bedsprings. It’s a perfect centerpiece, long and narrow and short enough that you can see over it if you’re actually dining at the table.
ReplyDeleteCrazy town around here this week with moving John and getting that all set up. XOXOXO Diana.
What a great shop to find! There was so much that screamed my name! Wish I was much closer.I could do some serious damage there. Love your table centerpiece. Margy in KY
ReplyDeleteKris, such a lovely project, so fun and creative. That store is so cute. I love seeing people convert school houses, fire stations and more into a store or home. Blogger photos might appear blurry after upload due to Blogger's automatic compression and resizing to fit within the blog's layout, especially when you select a smaller size for the image in the post editor.
ReplyDeleteHere's a more detailed explanation:
Blogger's Image Handling:
When you upload an image, Blogger stores it at a maximum resolution of 2048 pixels on its longest side.
Image Size and Display:
The image is then further reduced to fit the size you specify in the post editor (e.g., "Medium," "Large," etc.).
Lossy Compression:
This process of reducing the image size is a lossy compression, meaning some image quality is lost.
Original Image Setting:
If you want to display the image at its highest possible resolution, ensure you select "Original" size in the post editor, or choose a size that's as close to the original as possible.
Optimizing for Web:
Before uploading, consider optimizing your images for web use to reduce file size without significantly impacting quality.
Image Compression Tools:
You can use tools like TinyPNG to compress images before uploading. I always re-size my photos and usually compress them. I changed a few on this blog post.
This shop is so sweet - i adore your "centerpiece of candles". You have great vision!
ReplyDeleteKris, that is a darling shop in the old school house. The bed springs are unique with daisies and candles! It makes a fabulous centerpiece!
